Being Better Than You Think You Are

Impression08 started this conversation

I think learning to be truly good can be something you take away from what happened to you at a time because we have the capability to be a  much better person than you ever can imagined.  I just don't think, really bad people think of themselves as bad. The fact that you thought that is a sign that you've always wanted to make the journey that you see in front of you."For me now, I found out that the reason I went through some things in my life was to soften me up and make me kinder and more compassionate to be the person I am today.  I know I wouldn't have come up with that reason in a million years on my own. You just get locked into the idea that tough things make you tough. When things happen in our life it's not to make you a tuff person.  It is to help you to become a humbled, sweeter, kinder and easier to love kinda person, one day.  Now we all know the story about Shakespeare King Lear right?(the man with all the wealth and power about the one daughter who truly loved him)Everything do happen for a reason.  For King Lear he had everything.  But he couldn't leave this earth until he learned to be a truly good person.  Remember he was one of those people who think of himself as a "winner" like there was some inevitability to his successes.  He might have thought this inevitability came from special talents or even from being chosen by God. With people like this you can often feel the coming of a disaster.  Success is never inevitable.  People who are like this and believe they are winners get lazy, selfish, arrogant. They're not good people, not as good as they could be. So when something bad happens, it can be real easy to read. They need a lesson on how important it is to be a good person, with a focus on humility. I mean think about it for a minute, humbled people work hard and don't take advantage of  good out comes for granted. No one is perfect but every single day I do something kind and good for a person. You Should Too!
